Pesky Pest Wash

A wonderful 100% natural, low lathering, no rinse body wash to thoroughly clean and wash away nasties, including chorioptic mite and lice. Stops the need to rub and helps to protect, soothe and calm irritated, bitten areas.

Use: Stops the need to rub and washes away nasties, including chorioptic mite and lice, without striping the coat of natural oils.
Pesky Pest Wash penetrates deep down into the hair and coat to help protect, soothe and calm irritated, bitten areas, helping animals live comfortably and happily in an itch free environment.
Frequent use helps to eliminate scurfy, dry areas and maintain healthy skin, hair and coat.

Directions for use: Refer to application rate on the container. Using a sponge thoroughly soak the animal from top to tail (avoiding the eyes) paying particular attention to itchy areas. Leave in the coat for a short while before using a sweat scraper to remove excess product and allow to dry naturally. There is no need to rinse.

Suitable For All Coats: For use on Horses, Ponies, Donkeys, Deer, Goats & Large Dogs. You can be sure that this wash is gentle and kind on the skin and coat, so suitable for the most sensitive of skins.
If you think that your animal may suffer an allergic reaction to any natural ingredient, we suggest that you carry out a patch test prior to use.

Chorioptic Mite: The chorioptic mites live on the skin surface. Their mouthparts are adapted for chewing and they feed on skin debris. They do not burrow into the skin, but they can cause considerable irritation. The most common sites for Chorioptic Mite infestation are the lower limbs, often feathers and in thick coats especially at the base of the tail, the belly, groin, and armpits. Very common during the winter months when affected animals rub and bite irritated, sore areas, especially at night. Patchy hair loss and thickened, scaly skin is a sign in mild cases but in more severe cases the skin may become extremely sore and raw - an ideal environment for secondary bacterial infection to set in. The mites can sometimes survive off the animal for several weeks. So, as well as treating the animal, it is important to replace the bedding and treat in-contact animals to get the problem under control. We suggest that you use Pesky Pest Wash regularly in conjunction with our Livestock Louse Powder.

No Nasties: Manufactured using 100% natural ingredients, that are safe to the animal, the user and to the environment.

Safety Data: Non-toxic & Non-irritant. No Chemicals, No Artifical Thickeners, No Gel Agents which can be animal bi-products, No Soap, No Detergent.
No material have knowingly been included in this product that may contravene current FEI or HRA Rules.

Endorsements: "I used the Pesky Pest Wash on my horses and dogs and must say I was very impressed. My horse's coat looked silky and shiny with a fresh scent, and my Alaskan Malamute-cross - who suffers from dry, itchy skin - was better after one wash. It was an absolute godsend, as it helps to calm and soothe irritated skin while maintaining healthy skin, hair and coat." Horse & Rider Magazine Tester - June Issue 2014.

"Living directly next to a nature reserve means our horses are plagued with the dreaded midges that cause the horrid bites and irritating itching. The Barrrier Animal Healthcare range has proven to tick all the boxes for alleviating the problems. We used the Anti-itch Soothing Shampoo, which left the coats gleaming and cured the itch! The Pesky Pest Wash kept the horses skins soothed and it did seem to stop the horrid scurf from building. The Enhanced Formula Fly Repellent is a must for us, out of all the various ones we have tried this is the most successful by far, and it doesn't break the bank to use either! Roz Bosworth for Showing Magazine 2012.
